First Friday Art Tour was created by Santa Cruz Institute of Contemporary Arts. This event is about celebrating art by showing artwork from local artists. This music festival has been running for 55 years, which is decidated to new music for the orchestra. Reported by San Jose Mercury News as "Summer mecca for musicians and a premier musical destination for audiences."

This year marks 20 years of the Citizen's Police Academy (CPA) program. This program provides local residents a rare look inside the police department. Guests that sign up can learn investigative police work, observe K-9 demostrations, learn about firearms, engage with Superior Court Judge or Probation Officer. The fundraiser is called Sustain Supper - A Benefit for the Homeless Garden Project. This organization provides job tranining, tools to learn horticultural and retail skills.
